The resolutions imposed a series of demands on member states as well as on Afghanistan under Chapter VII of the United Nations Charter. The first included: The Taliban must not allow territory under its control to be used for terrorist training. The Taliban must turn over Osama bin Laden to the appropriate authorities.

Adopted under Chapter VII of the UN charter, Security Council resolution 1267 requires all states to implement an asset freeze; travel ban; and an arms embargo against individuals, groups, and entities subject to sanctions, as identified by the “Consolidated List.”

Sanction lists updated? The U.N. will update their lists at their discretion, and W2 checks Daily for any changes to the list to ensure that the most up to date version is being used. There is a mailing list that you can subscribe to, however, an efficient data partner will make this redundant.
